Wood and Processing

The wood from which the urn is made is characterized by its warm color and fine grain, which makes each urn unique. The careful handcrafting guarantees the highest quality and durability. To guarantee a natural product, we use a finish based on beeswax, carnauba wax and natural oils. We do not use varnishes or resins. Wood is a natural material and the wood color and grain may differ from the product images. Each urn is unique. The photos are a reference for what the final product will look like. Wood naturally darkens over time. Opening and closing mechanism:

There is a flat base on the underside of the urn, with a lockable opening in the middle. The size of the opening varies depending on the size of the urn. You can find the opening diameter in the product details above.

The lid of the opening is attached to the urn with a twist lock. The urn can be opened and closed again using the included wooden key (see illustration).

After cremation in the crematorium, the ashes are placed in a so-called ash bag and this is then sealed. Your undertaker will then take care of placing the ash bag in your urn and storing it for you until the burial.

Please feel free to speak to your undertaker about the procedure and the various options for storage and transport.

scope of delivery

The urn is delivered in a securely packaged jute bag, which additionally protects it from damage. A wooden key for opening the urn and a paper filling funnel are also included.

Shipment

As a rule, the urn is ready for dispatch within 1-2 working days after ordering and is sent free of charge within Germany with Deutsche Post/DHL.
